Royal After All? Meghan Markle Is Said To Be Descended From Scottish Kings

Date April 4, 2018

Soon, Meghan Markle will become an indispensable part of the royal family and will be considered a royal. However, some people are of the opinion she won’t fit. This idea was expressed by Ann Widdecombe who knows Meghan when she was competing in Celebrity Big Brother. Here’s what she said:

I'm just very dubious that somebody who has made her life in those sorts of films, been married before, comes over and has to become an active member of a very, very stuffy, traditional family.

However, little does Ann know Meghan is already a royal according to the book by Andrew Morton. The author calls her a Hollywood Princess, and he was a valid reason for that. It’s claimed that the royal bride-to-be is descended from Scottish hero Robert the Bruce. Mr. Morton is of the following opinion:

It is possible to trace a direct line through 25 generations to Robert I of Scotland, perhaps the most colorful of all Scottish kings. Meghan is distantly related to most European royal families thanks to her English kinswoman Margaret Kerdeston, who lived in the 15th century.
