Tourist Captures An Incredible Moment Of Women Giving Birth In The Red Sea

Date March 16, 2018

More and more women all over the world opt for water birth rather than a regular one. And it’s explained by a number of reasons. And the key one is the fact that it’s more gentle for the baby to be born in this way. What’s more, it’s said this way it's easier for the woman who delivers the baby.

Apparently, this mother knows that and has decided to give birth to her baby in the Red Sea in Dahab, Egypt. So, together with her husband and a doctor, who supported her, she managed to do that, and a tourist from his balcony just filmed everything by accident. The images show the baby is fine. It also shows its umbilical cord still attached and its placenta in a plastic container that the father holds in his hands.

Dr. Saima Aftab, medical director of the Fetal Care Center at Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami, has been asked to comment on such a birth. And according to her, it’s not safe both for the baby and the woman, even if a doctor is present.

I worry that this is a completely dangerous environment for the baby. Even in the presence of a medical professional.
