This Dog Has A Disease And Can't Eat Normally, So Her Family Found A Solution To Save Her Life
Our pets are our family members, and when they get sick, it breaks our hearts. Not long ago, a dog Daisy began having respiratory problems. Her family, Doug and Grace Jones, rushed to the vet who diagnosed her with myasthenia gravis.
This autoimmune disease develops another disorder that holds food and doesn’t allow it to pass into the stomach. So, 9-year-old Daisy had difficulty getting water and food from her throat. But there was one solution to the problem – a high Bailey chair.
Doug and his son Brian are skilled woodworkers, so it wasn’t hard for them to make a comfortable chair for their pet. Still, the family was worried that their 9-year-old dog would not take to her new chair. Luckily, she did!
Daisy adores her little throne! She happily hops in it and also pulls down the tray. As her family says:
Surprised she got in the chair by herself, but even more so that she pulled down the tray and was ready to eat.
If the Joneses need to go somewhere with their dog, they just bring the chair along in case she’ll need foot or water.
Helping dogs all over the country
This solution helps hundreds of dogs with the same condition. Just look at these pups!
There are places where pet parents can buy such chairs, and many people donate money to shelters to get such specially designed chairs.
