Meghan Markle Uses Harry's Mother Example To Form Her Etiquette And Tends To Break Some Royal Traditions
Meghan Markle takes after her husband’s mom, Princess Diana, while getting prepared to become a part of the royal family. However, her modern approach is a bit different and controversial to some extent. Even though the Queen might not approve Markle’s behavior, people simply adore the former Suits actress.
What can be wrong about hugging? It is a cute and kind gesture to express your sympathy and support a person, and there is definitely nothing bad about it. However, the rules are a bit different in the royal family.
The Queen and her family belong to the aristocracy, meaning they used to stay higher on the social level than ordinary people. As the former traditions pale into insignificance, modern members of the noble family are more open to the public.
Meghan Markle is now showing that she is not going to behave like Elizabeth II. She is rather what Diana used to be. People could see her sociable and heart-warming character during her visit to Birmingham; she dared to hug a girl that would not be approved a few decades ago.
Breaking the etiquette
The way Meghan Markle acts closely reminds Princess Diana and her behavior. She also was outspoken and close to her people and also used to hug little girls.
According to Prince Harry's former butler, the future princess has made some etiquette protocol changes taking into account the peculiarities of modern culture:
It is really, really sweet, but not something the Queen would do. She's got her own way of doing things... You look at the energy of Princess Diana and she was very much somebody that would hug people. She was famous for it, wasn't she?
Markle’s popularity is now on its rise. With the recent poll about the favorite princess, people gave 37% to the up-coming royal family member, while Diana received only 21%.
Tribute to Diana
Princess Diana will be present at the wedding in May in different forms. Meghan’s engagement ring features a diamond that used to belong to Harry’s mother. Among the music on the ceremony, the program will include Diana’s favorite hymn, I Vow to Thee My Country.
Moreover, the couple is going to visit her grave before the wedding itself, to give the honorable tribute to the deceased princess. Meanwhile, we are counting the days that have left to the most awaited event of the 2018 – the royal wedding. It must be tremendous.
