Luann De Lesseps Apologizes And Blames Arrest On 'Long-Buried Emotions'

It’s Christmas time, and celebs, just like ordinary people, enjoy taking a break from their work, relaxing, and spending time with nearest and dearest. But for some, including Luann de Lesseps, Christmas time turned out to be a disaster.

Early Sunday morning, The Real Housewives of New York City star was taken into custody by police in Florida. They charged her with battery on a law enforcement officer, disorderly intoxication, resisting arrest with violence, and threatening to harm a public servant. That’s quite a lot! Since some of the charges are felonies, Luann is due back in court in 4 weeks.

The Money Can't Buy You Class singer seems to have kicked the police officer, slammed the door, and allegedly told people that she would kill them all. Luckily, she was soon released and even allowed to return to New York, her home state. The judge, however, warned her to take charges seriously.

The TV show star was quick to apologize on social media. As it turned out, Luann was with her friend at the hotel where she had her wedding brunch a year ago with her now-ex Tom D’Agostino.

The memories from the past flooded in, and de Lesseps could not bear it anymore. Following her apparent meltdown, she offered her apologies to everyone she had offended. The TV star also confessed that she hopes that 2018 will be a better year.

Unsuccessful marriage

De Lesseps and D’Agostino got married last year. But after eight months of tumultuous marriage, the two decided to split. The reason for divorce might have been D’Agostino’s infidelity and flirtatious behavior, though it is not known for sure. But there had always been some trust issues, and the star even have doubts whether to marry the businessman or not.

Luann still believes in true love, but she will definitely be more cautious next time.
