Ed Sheeran Receives The Royal Honor At The Buckingham Palace

Date December 8, 2017

The favorite singer of all teenagers, Ed Sheeran, received a major honor from Prince Charles of Whales. Ed Sheeran, whose popularity began a few years ago, has already received a Grammy award in 2016. The international star is known for his modesty and the ability to hit the red carpet in casual threads. This Thursday, December 7, the artist had to dress up for his meeting with Prince Charles of Whales. Dressed in a sharp suit, Ed matched the official atmosphere perfectly.

The cause of the meeting was a very prestigious award gifted by the Royal Family for outstanding services. From now on, Ed Sheeran is the Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire. The singer was bestowed with this great honor for his services to music and charity.

The singer is regularly involved in some kind of charities. He often sells memorabilia and clothes to help the East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices organization that is also patronized by Kate Middleton.

Unfortunately, the ceremony did not include the traditional sword tap on the should, so the only scratch he received was from Princess Beatrice in a mocking Knighthood Ceremony.

Ed Sheeran was proud to receive such honor. He admitted that his grandfather was a massive royalist and would be proud to see his grandson becoming an MBE.

This year was full of famous faces honored by MBE. The list of stars includes Anna Wintour, Billy Connolly, and Naomi Harris. Last month, they were followed by Julie Walters and Helen McRoy who were honored by the Queen herself. Back in April, Victoria Beckham received her OBE from the Duke of Cambridge, Prince William.
