It’s a new experience for Melania Trump this year to be the first lady and the host at the White House. According to her official Twitter account, the first lady’s schedule is pretty busy. She’s been running numerous errands, flying to different states with and without Donald Trump, and putting her touch to Christmas decorations in their new residence.

This year’s theme is “Time-Honored Traditions”. It includes the predominance of white color and a big gingerbread replica of the White House.

The decorations are up! @whitehouse is ready to celebrate! Wishing you a Merry Christmas & joyous holiday season!

Recently Melania thanked all the 150 volunteers who made the White House look magical this holiday season.

Among all her visits, the First Lady was especially touched by all the kids from the Children’s National Hospital in Washington D.C. Afterwards, Melania answered some questions from the curious kids. As a result, she revealed that her favorite Christmas song is “Oh, Holy Night” and she is a big fan of simple family traditions, such as having Christmas dinner together with the family and attending the night mass.

But the most interesting question was from a boy named Andy, who asked Melania where she would like to spend holidays if she could go anywhere in the world. The First Lady said:

I would spend my holidays on a deserted island, a tropical island, with my family.

This footage that has been posted on Twitter gathered numerous comments from the Internet users. Their opinions on the First Lady’s answers differ but anyway everyone would probably agree that family traditions during Christmas time are a very important and inspiring part of the holiday season.
