Donald And Melania Trump Spent Christmas Taking Calls From Kids And Having Some Quality Time With Family

Date December 26, 2017 16:35

Melania Trump had been busy preparing the presidential residence for festive season, decorating a Christmas tree, and discussing some details with best designers. But it turns out, the Trumps did not celebrate the holiday in the White House.

Instead, Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida was chosen as a place for celebration. On December 24th, 2017, they took calls from children, telling them about the movement of Santa Claus over the territory of the United States and also spent quality time with family.

Traditional Santa tracking

The first couple of the country personally took part in maintaining the tradition of the American military. In 1955, the Colorado Springs newspaper launched an ad with an invitation for children to call Santa but erroneously indicated the phone number of the Continental Air Defense Command. Children were trying to reach Santa, and its workers decided to play along with the kids.

This year, none of the kids knew that the president would answer to their calls. Trump managed to talk with six children, promising one that he will receive building blocks and telling another that his grandmother will recover soon.

I always loved building blocks ... well I predict Santa will bring you building blocks, so many you won’t be able to use them all.

Melania kept up with her husband. She took nine calls and tried to persuade kids to go to bed because Santa comes as soon as children fall asleep.

Presidential holiday time

After talking with the military and children from different parts of the United States, Trump spent time with his grandchildren who joined him during the Christmas Eve dinner.

On his Instagram, Donald Trump Jr. published a touching photo of the president with his two children – Kai and Spencer.

The First Lady also posted a picture of herself wearing Santa’s hat. She looked great in it!

Merry Christmas! ????????????
