Kate Middleton Is Ready To Embrace Body Art And Gets A Tattoo During Her Trip To Sunderland

Date February 22, 2018

The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting her third child with Prince William in just two months. But she’s not ready to take maternity leave yet. This time, Kate and her husband visited Sunderland, and they had many things to do there.

Enjoying city’s arts

The royal couple made the first stop at the fire station, which has recently been transformed into a theater and dance hub. During their visit, the Duke and Duchess watched colorful performances and talked to many local children.

While chatting, the 36-year-old revealed she was ready to embrace body art by asking one of the girls to draw a tattoo. Of course, it’s only a temporary design, painted with henna. But William’s wife was very delighted to get one.

Just look at this subtle black flower! Shajida Begum, the girl who drew the design, says:

I was telling her when she can wash it off - I said 'when it becomes flakey.'

Other activities in Sunderland

Outside of the art hub, the couple greeted a special guest, a 101-year-old-woman. They also met with kids from four schools who presented her Royal Highness with beautiful flowers.

After the visit to the fire station, the royals went to see the Northern Spire Bridge. The Duchess seemed happy to slip out of high heel shoes and wear boots. She also rocked a heavy-duty work wear and a hard hat to stay safe.

Even in such an outfit, she still looks gorgeous!
