Throwing hints

As he walked the red carpet at the SAG Awards, the 59-year-old actor was asked what roles he would like to do. Oldman candidly opened up about his son’s dream. As it turned out, one of his kids wants their dad to star in Marvel films. Why did the boy say that? Who knows, maybe because all dads are superheroes.

The Darkest Hour star didn’t have an offer, but he doesn’t rule it out and sends gentle hints at the company to give him a call.

Marvel hasn’t called me. But now that you mentioned it, if they’re tuning in, my son wants me to!

Superhero experience

Although Oldman hasn’t boarded the movie series yet, he is no stranger to superhero films. In particular, the actor has experience playing officer James Gordon in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. Fans even believe that these films are among the best comics adaptations that have ever been made.

Why should Marvel get Oldman?

We think that Marvel would be lucky if they got Gary to play in one of their movies. He has a wide acting range, charisma, and a unique ability to morph into any role. Even when he appears within a limited screen time, he still manages to bring his characters alive and becomes fan-favorite. One of Hollywood’s most celebrated actors also starred in the biggest fantasy and sci-fi films and blockbusters.

If Gary Oldman returns to the world of superheroes, the only question is, would he be on the good guys' side, or would he take a more negative role?
