Princess Charlene And Prince Albert Lit Up 2017's Christmas Party At Monaco Palace

Monaco’s Prince Albert and Princess Charlene did not spare their wallets as they went all out for the 2017 Children’s Christmas party. This year, there were probably even more kids than gathered at last years'. All of them were dressed in merry colors and lots of red.

The royal couple also joined in on the festive mood. The Princess showed up in a red cape, tan pants, and knee-high boots, while Prince Albert was in a smart black blazer with grey pants. Topping his outfit was a funny red hat.

All the children were excited to see the Prince and Princess, who showed up for the party without pomp.

The days’ party was packed full with activities. For starters, the Prince and Princess were treated to a dance performance by some of the children. Shortly after, they got to pose for photos with the kids and other guests at the event.

From there on, it was fun all the way. With special delicious meals and sweet treats by the famous Chef Christian Garcia, this was one party like none other.

In the end, the children had a wonderful time and probably went home with fond memories of the palace and the royal couple.

It started with Princess Grace

The tradition of parties at the royal palace has been in place for a while now and every year, lucky children get invited to come celebrate Christmas. Princess Grace, mother of Prince Albert, started the tradition. She would invite underprivileged children in Monaco to the palace and share with them the many treats and gifts she had prepared.

The palace party is now so popular that last year, another event was organized specially for children of the palace staff.

The royal twins were absent

Earlier this month, the royal family shared this cute photo of a happy Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella. Their photo under the family Christmas tree earned a lot of admiration online.

Sadly, the royal twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, were not at this years party. The children were down with a cold. They did attend the previous year and clearly had a lot of fun. The photo below was taken at the 2016 event.

We guess they may be feeling a bit left out of the festivities. So we hope they already got better and enjoyed their Christmas with parents.
