HRH Princess Danica And Prince Philip Welcome First Son Stefan

In October 2017, HRH Prince Philip and Miss Danica Marinkovic got married in Serbia. The ceremony was presided over His Holiness Serbian Patriarch Irinej of Serbia in Belgrade. This is the first royal union to take place in Belgrade since 1922. And the event was described as “lavish”.

Danica who is a British citizen looked absolutely stunning. Her dress made by famous British-Serb fashion designer Roksanda Ilincic. The dress featured billowing sleeves cinched at the wrist and a large bow at the front. Prince Phillip looked equally dashing in his three-piece ensemble.

The Godmother of the day was HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden. His Royal Highness Prince Peter was the Godfather. Queen Sophia of Spain also attended the wedding.

A Royal baby is born

It looks like 2018 is set to be the year of a royal baby boom. The royal palace in Belgrade announced the birth of Stefan to HRH Princess Danica and Prince Philip. Stefan was born at 10:30 am local time. Both mother and baby are doing quite well.

Stefan is the first male child born to the royal family in Serbia in 90 years. Official photos are yet to be released, but the palace and the royal couple showed their appreciation to well-wishers. Prince Stefan becomes third-in-line to the throne of Yugoslavia after his father, Prince Phillip.

Kate Middleton and Prince William expecting in April

British royals Kate Middleton and Prince William are expecting their third child in April 2018. There has been a lot of anticipation for the new addition to the family. Speculation has been rife about the new name, and Mary seems to be top of the list.


Neither of the expecting parents has shared any information on baby names. So, the guessing game continues.
