It Has Been A Very Busy Week For The Duchess Of Cambridge

Date February 22, 2018

It has been a pretty busy week for the Duchess of Cambridge. On Monday evening, she was joined by Sophie, Countess of Wessex, at Buckingham Palace. The event was the launch of a new fashion initiative called Commonwealth Fashion Exchange.

Also, in attendance were several Canadian fashion designers. The aim is to encourage integration in the Commonwealth through fashion.

Visit to Sunderland bridge

Yesterday, the Duchess of Cambridge visited the Sunderland Bridge with Prince William. It was a pretty cold morning, but there was still a good crowd waiting to catch a glimpse of the royals.

Kate was in a very good mood, and she had lots of smiles to go round. She even stopped to talk to a pair of boys who were allowed beyond the barricades.

With a double-breasted Dolce & Gabbana jacket, black tights, and black heels, the mother-to-be looked very smart.

The royals then wore reflective jackets and hardhats as they visited the Sunderland Bridge. Called the Northern Spire, it is a part of ongoing efforts to connect the Port of Sunderland to the city center.

Prince Williams had his hands full too

The Duke of Cambridge also had a lot on his itinerary. He visited the MIRA Technology Park. The cutting-edge facility is home to HORIBA MIRA.

During his visit, the duke got a first-hand look at the process behind engineering, researching, and testing of services that the company provides for the country’s transportation industry. He also got a look at new technologies being deployed in road construction.
