After several weeks of public's concern about Prince Philip's health status, he had finally undergone a medical procedure. The Duke of Edinburgh had a successful hip replacement surgery, as it was confirmed by the palace.
The Duke of Edinburgh has undergone a successful hip replacement operation. He is progressing satisfactorily at this early stage.
As previously reported, Prince Philip had to cancel several public appearances in March. In addition, he didn't attend the Easter festivities with his family earlier this month.
The palace responded to Prince Philip's absence at several events by revealing the duke's issues with hip pain. Everyone was relieved to hear that the 96-year-old royal had a successful operation to fix the mentioned health problem.
The procedure went without a hitch, and the prince left the hospital less than two weeks after his admittance. The duke was seen leaving the hospital in good spirit and, reportedly, good health.
Although the Queen couldn't visit her husband during his hospital stay, his daughter, Princess Anne, made an appearance.
We hope Prince Philip feels a lot better, as he has an eventful year ahead of him. We wish the duke strong health and good time at the upcoming weddings of Prince Harry with Meghan Markle as well as Princess Eugenie with Jack Brooksbank.
