Prince Philip Missed Easter Festivities With His Family Due To Health Issues

Over the past weekend, the royal family gathered to celebrate Easter. Almost every member of the British family attended the service, but there were a few notable absentees.
Royal Easter Sunday
The traditional Easter service was held at Windsor Castle this Sunday. Queen Elizabeth attended the festivities at St. George's Chapel, where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be married soon.
Other members of the royal family in attendance included Prince William and Kate as well as Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice.
Notably, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle didn't join their family this Easter due to private plans elsewhere. Prince Philip was missing as well but for a completely different reason.
Prince Philip's health is somewhat troubling
According to the palace officials, Prince Philip, 96, was unable to attend the Easter service due to the hip problem. Recently, the public has been concerned with the health status of the monarch; however, the reports are making it out to not be a big deal.
Considering prince's respectable age, it's no surprise that he might be feeling unwell from time to time. Just last year, the duke officially retired from attending public royal engagements, to focus on his long-deserved rest.
In addition, Prince Philip cancelled his appearance at the important ceremony at the Windsor Castle. The duke was set to hand over his role as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards to Prince Andrew but pulled out of his commitment due to 'feeling under the weather'.
We hope that Prince Philip feels better soon and believe that it's really nothing serious.
