Prince Harry Requested A Surprising Singer To Perform At The Queen’s Birthday Party
Prince Harry gave a hint about his taste in music!
The royal wrote to The Voice contestant in order to personally invite him to perform at the Queen's birthday party.
As it turned out, Harry is a big fan of TV music talent show The Voice UK, according to one of the show's judges, Black Eyed Peas member Will.i.am.
The groom-to-be sent a handwritten letter to a contestant he liked the most. And now, 16-years-old Donel Mangena will be singing at the Queen's 92nd birthday party.
The fact that Prince Harry was watching the show, to the point where he then took out his pen and paper, wrote down 'Yo, why don't you come and perform for my grandma's birthday' and mailed it. Not an email, the effort, in 2018, to like, seal it, mail it.
I have met a lot of kings and queens and princes and princesses, but there's something about the royals of this country that is, you know, a little bit more royal.
16-years-old Donel will perform alongside with big stars, like Kylie Minogue, Craig David, Shawn Mendes, Sting, Shaggy, and more.
The musician’s fellow coach, Welsh singing legend Sir Tom Jones, was also invited to sing at the party but, this time, by the Queen herself.
The birthday party is going to be a full-on concert extravaganza, which will be held at Royal Albert Hall on the 21st and aired live on television in the U.K.
After turning 92, Queen Elizabeth will be the longest reigning monarch in the world. But will she retire? The royal experts believe it’s very unlikely. What do you think?
