Queen Letizia And Queen Sofía Appeared Together For The First Time Since The Easter Scandal

Easter scandal between Spain’s Queens Letizia and Sofia made the whole country worry. But now, they have united together to show that whatever happened is in the past now.

Most royal families carefully choreograph their public appearances, hiding any hint of a dispute among the members.

But the Spanish royal family didn’t seem to be able to mask their feelings when a footage of a heated encounter between Queen Sofía and her daughter-in-law, Queen Letizia, emerged on Easter Sunday.

It spread quickly all over the internet, with the Spanish newspaper El País calling the encounter “tense” when it looked like Queen Letizia was trying to stop her mother-in-law, Queen Sofia, from participating in a photo. Then, they seemed to have a heated exchange — right in front of the photographers. King Felipe tried to calm the situation down by stepping in, and the two royals happily posed together for the photos.

Recently, Queen Sofía and Queen Letizia made their first public appearance together with King Felipe when they arrived in their Mercedes C350.

They two walked together to the hospital’s doors where King Juan Carlos was resting after his knee surgery, smiling and posing for photographers.

After their hour-long visit, King Felipe told the media that his father’s surgery went well and that he’s hoping that Carlos would be able to leave the hospital soon.

Previously, King Juan Carlos underwent 14 surgeries with the first being on his appendix when he was a child.
