First, the news popped out about the Charles’ plan to ignore Kate Middleton’s mom, and now, everyone is discussing the future king’s plot to make his mother the Queen and the British public to accept Camilla Parker-Bowles.

Tom Bower, a scandalous journalist who once exposed an affair between Simon Cowell and Dannii Minogue, claims that the Queen ones called Camilla "that wicked woman" and told to her eldest son that she wants nothing to do with her. But Charles didn’t give up.

The 69-year-old plotted a secret plan to make the Queen accept his chosen love.

Mr. Bower writes in his book:

Charles' campaign to have Camilla accepted had started in 1996, a period that had marked a new peak in the public's disgust with the lives in the royal palaces. A succession of scandalous books, tapes and television interviews had reduced the prince's approval rating to less than 10 percent. The very notion that the couple might marry was ridiculed by a country that had lost respect for the man who had betrayed his wife, Diana. Unless Camilla was ousted, the critics agreed, Charles could not remain the Queen's automatic successor.

Prince Charles has started with an extravagant party for Camilla’s 50th birthday. He planned to make everyone see Camilla in a new light – not as an adulteress but as a future Queen.

However, a tragic event ruined his plot. Princess Diana's death in a horrific car crash just a month later destroyed Charles’ endeavors.

He then reportedly told his assistants:

They're all going to blame me, aren't they? The world's going to go completely mad.

Later, in 2002, the Queen softened a little bit and let Camilla attend the Queen Mother's funeral but on the condition that she will not be presented as Charles' partner.

Nonetheless, Charles’ mother remained frosty to Camilla, even during their wedding in 2005.

Despite the dirty secrets, leaking out of Tom Bower’s book, historian David Sandbrook thinks Prince Charles will be a great king, calling him the most-prepared royal for the position.

But will Camilla be a good Queen if she is ever let to the throne?
