Recently, it’s been on the news that Prince Philip has been feeling unwell, or how it was put officially a little “under the weather. That’s why he couldn’t attend the ceremony to pass his role as Colonel of the Grenadier Guards to his son, Prince Andrew.

The Queen held the ceremony herself. And now, there are some more updates as to the health of Prince Philip. Royal insider claims the prince is in good health, and the reason for his retirement from his royal duties back in May wasn’t because of bad health.

22,000 – that’s the number of public royal engagements Prince Philip had carried out before retiring from his royal duties in May. The Duke of Edinburgh retired at the age of 96, and it’s absolutely necessary to note that the number of events he carried out is way more than the Queen, Prince William, and Kate Middleton did.
