Modern “I Have A Dream” Speech Delivered By Martin Luther King Jr.'s Granddaughter At March For Our Lives

On Saturday, the streets of Washington DC were filled with people, especially students who raised together at the March for Our Lives in the face of danger that can strike anyone. They took to the streets to seek the protection for themselves. And gun control laws are the only demand they had. Such a rally appeared to be the biggest one since the student protests that ended the Vietnam War.

When a nine-year-old girl took the stage, no one knew she was a granddaughter of a great and inspiring man – Martin Luther King. Yolanda Renee King has managed to give a powerful and inspiring speech together with Jaclyn Corin, a Parkland survivor. Yolanda Renee King said:

My grandfather had a dream that his four little children will not be judged by the colour of the skin, but the content of their character.

I have a dream that enough is enough. And that this should be a gun-free world, period.

It’s no wonder that lots of celebrities joined the students in their pursuit of protection. Lots of them took the stage to express their opinions and touch the hearts of the authorities. There were the survivors of the Parkland shooting, such as Emma Gonzalez, that made all the present relive the moment and commemorate those who lost their lives.
