Kate Middleton was called one of the most elegant royal brides ever, and lots of other brides tried to copy her image, especially her perfect wedding bouquet. It’s was the only one of its kind. The florists used only locally-grown flowers, and this fact added even more elegance to her image. Lily of the valley was the dominant flower that only added to the positive symbolism of Kate Middleton’s bouquet.
These days, people are trying to guess what the flower arrangements of Meghan Markle will be like. And at last, we know who will be responsible for the floral decoration of the royal wedding. The palace has revealed it will be Philippa Craddock, the floral designer who works with British Vogue, Kensington Palace, and Christian Dior. They say only seasonal flowers from the gardens of The Crown Estate and Windsor Great Park will be used.
Meanwhile, Philippa Craddock, comments on the collaboration:
I am excited and honored to have been chosen by Prince Harry and Ms. Meghan Markle to create and design their wedding flowers.
Working with them has been an absolute pleasure. The process has been highly collaborative, free-flowing, creative and fun. The final designs will represent them as a couple, which I always aim to achieve in my work, with local sourcing, seasonality and sustainability being at the forefront.
However, they don’t say even a word about what Meghan Markle’s bouquet will be like.
Will Meghan Markle try hard to look like Princess Diana, the woman she just adores and always tries to follow? On Diana’s big day, she preferred enormous cascading bouquet full of all kinds of white flowers. But Gardenias took the lead in the ensemble and played a central role.
