Frank Ocean Drops A Gorgeous Cover Of 'Moon River', And A Lot Of People Mistook It For An Original Track

Moon River is a song written by Henry Mancini and Johnny Mercer in 1961 for the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s. It instantly became a hit, and the Oscar-winning film received an Academy Award for it. What completes one of the Hollywood's most romantic and sweet melodies is a weak and soft Audrey Hepburn’s voice.
Since the time of its release, this masterpiece has been covered by many famous and iconic singers, including Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong, Barbara Streisand, and many others.
Now it’s time to check out Frank Ocean’s newest version.
The American R&B and neo soul singer found a perfection occasion to release his cover – on Valentine’s Day. But did he know it would become trending so fast? It’s been a short time, but the song already has more than 1 million views and 50 thousand likes on YouTube.
What is the reason for such success?
The Internet genuinely loved this song because it reminded them of Andy Williams’ and Frank Sinatra’s versions. Many enjoyed listening to it in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, so a new cover feels like catching up with an old friend.
