Melania Trump Tackles Cyberbullying And Encourages Adults To ‘Take The Lead’ To Stop It

Date February 27, 2018

In the wake of the terrible Parkland shooting massacre, Melania Trump spoke out about the young activists’ movement for change in the gun legislation. In her speech, the first lady briefly talked about the tragedy and showed her admiration of students’ desire to bring change. As she said:

I have been heartened to see children across this country using their voices to speak out.

Melania’s 2018 platform

And since kids are our future, the president’s wife devoted part of her speech to their protection. In 2016, Melania promised that she would make cyberbullying one of the priorities if her spouse won. And she is ready to keep her promise.

She will formally announce her platform later this year. For now, the First Lady has raised the awareness of the need to encourage positive social media habits. Melania believes that we, as adults, should "take the lead" to help kids deal with problems they are facing on the daily basis.

I am asking you all to join me today and commit to promoting values such as encouragement, kindness, compassion, and respect.

Many Internet users were skeptic because Trump’s Twitter behavior is exactly the opposite. But as Melania says, she acts independently from him.

On February 25, Melania reemerged at the Governors’ Ball. And she looked absolutely stunning in her black gown!
