Sandra Bullock Tearfully Talks About The Impact Of 'Black Panther' On Her African-American Son

Date March 8, 2018

These days, Sandra Bullock is rarely seen hitting the red carpet. But when she attended the 2018 Academy Awards, she simply took everyone’s breath away! The actress looked absolutely stunning in her Louis Vuitton dress embellished with sequins and sparkles. She completed her look with sleek-straight locks and a minimum makeup.

Making an impact

While speaking to different interviewers on the red carpet, the Award-winning star revealed that she was the biggest fan of Black Panther, one of the newest superhero films. And the reason for her admiration is very touching!

The Ocean’s 8 actress opened up about the huge impact the movie had made on her 8-year-old son, Louis. The kid was upset because there were no black superheroes, so Bullock even had to turn his Spider-Man brown. Now, she doesn’t need to do that anymore!

I’m so grateful to Marvel because about five years ago, my son asked me if there were any brown Legos.

Actually, both of her kids (the actress also has a 5-year-old daughter Laila) haven’t seen the film because they are too little. But Sandra thinks Louis can do that in a year. He must be very excited!

Inspiring youth

And Bullock is not the only celeb who admires Black Panther. Earlier, the former First Lady Michelle Obama gushed about the film’s impact on the youth. Surely, black kids also want to see superheroes that look just like them.

Black Panther is among the first Marvel films with a predominantly black cast. Now, other movies can follow suit.
