Prince William Can't Resist Taking A Motorbike For A Spin Despite Kate's Disapproval

Date February 21, 2018

Royal visits and trips can be pretty boring, but not when you get an opportunity to test-drive different vehicles. On February 20, Prince William channeled his inner fan of extreme sports when visiting the MIRA Technology Part and Triumphs Motorcycles. Needless to say, he was absolutely delighted!

Testing innovative technology

The Duke of Cambridge visited the first spot to learn about HORIBA MIRA, its research, and engineering. What is more, he viewed a selection of equipment and vehicles. And he even got the chance to experience new technology by testing wet handling tracks in Aston Martin. Looks dangerous, isn’t it?

But the second spot was more exciting for the queen’s grandson. It is a well-known fact that the royal adores motorcycling. He has been an avid biker from a young age, but he had to put his bikes aside when marrying to Kate Middleton and welcoming children.

I don't know what it is about bikes, but I've always had a passion for motorbikes ever since I was very small.

In fact, the Duchess of Cambridge confirmed on multiple occasions that she is "filled with horror" when William rides. But in the East Midlands, the second-in-line to the throne could not help but test-drive one of the latest Triumph motorbikes. He clearly enjoyed it and admitted the ride was too short.

But Kate might be an extreme sports fan too

Sometimes, the duchess also likes living on the edge. Just take a look at how professionally she navigates a rocky terrain!

Who knows, maybe, after the birth of their third child, Kate will share the passion for motorbikes.
