James Corden Gave Out Consolation Puppies To The Grammy Awards Losers, And People Want One Too

There are million reasons people would love to be a fly on the wall at the Grammy Awards in 2018, including Kendrick Lamar’s opening, Rihanna’s wild dancing, Bruno Mars’ performance, and Lady Gaga’s alt. But there’s one more thing to add to the list: teeny tiny pugs handed to some of the Grammys losers.

Cutest consolation presents

At the 60th Grammy Awards, its host James Corden did not just dish out little golden gramophone trophies; he also thought about the way to do something nice for other nominees who didn’t make it up to the stage.

During the show, the comedian announced that there will be no losers as he was going to hand out cute puppies as consolation prizes. He said:

I don’t want anyone to be upset tonight, so the good news is nobody goes home empty-handed because all night we will be handing out consolation puppies.

It’s no surprise that this act caused cuteness overload. When giving out puppies, Corden also made funny remarks about their habits and behavior. For example, as Jerry Seinfeld was given a pet, it turned out that Roxy (this is the dog’s name) was quite a biter.

Ruby, another adorable little pup, given to Jim Gaffigan, wasn’t toilet trained, so a stand-up comedian will have some difficult time draining his new pet.

Other people’s reactions

But not everyone got the puppy. Anna Kendrick, a famous actress, rushed to Twitter, complaining that she wanted one too.

And lots of other common people were impressed with Corden’s decision to bring pups to the event.

But not everyone was so thrilled about handing out living dogs as prizes, including People for the Ethical Treatment.

Now the fans want to get to know what happened to the animals after the ceremony. We are looking forward to cute social media updates from those who received these little gifts.
