Dolly Parton Gets Appreciation From Guinness World Records And Celebrates Her 72nd Birthday

Date January 19, 2018

Wow, 2018 started really promising for Dolly Parton. On January 18, she was recognized by the Guinness World Records and received not one but two certificates, setting two new records. But there’s one more occasion to celebrate. On January 19, she has her 72nd birthday!

Setting new records

Now, the famous country music singer can boast of having Most Hits on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart by a Female Artist and Most Decades With a Top 20 Hit on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs Chart awards. Indeed, she entered song charts six decades ago, and now, she has more than 100 songs that topped these charts! Impressive, isn’t it?

The most beloved songs

In 1967, Dolly released her first album Hello, I’m Dolly, showing that she was ready to take on this world. Now, she is one of the most honored female musicians.

This might be surprising, but Parton has more than 3,000 songs, and 25 of them topped Billboard charts; a record that was barely achieved by other artists!

I try not to dwell on just trying to be commercial and what’s a radio hit. Usually when an idea hits me, it comes from my heart.

There’s no doubt she is the winner of numerous awards, including such prestigious ones as Grammy Awards or Academy Awards. One of her most popular songs is, of course, “I Will Always Love You", which also became an international hit for the late Whitney Houston.

Birthday wishes

She is loved by many, so it’s no surprise hundreds of her admirers took to Twitter to shower the singer with the warmest birthday congratulations, wishing her many happy years to come. Among them, you can find reporters, TV anchors, actors, and just common people.

We also wish Dolly Parton good health, great fun, and inspiration for her new records.
