Comey's Sack

Comey's sack was reportedly prompted by his handling of the investigations. Trump told journalists at a press conference that the former FBI director's incompetence led to his firing.

But it is believed that his focus on probing any connections between the Russia investigation and Trump’s campaign contributed to his losing favor of the Trump administration.

His handling of the Hilary Clinton email scandal did not help him too. He is known to have said that he feels “mildly nauseous” that his actions may have helped Trump's chances.

The Trump-Comey fallout

Comey has been vocal about his misgivings about the Trump administration since his dismissal.

And in a book that is yet to be released, he shared his thoughts on Trump's leadership style without restraint. He also spoke on his interaction with Donald Trump before their public fallout.

Comey fights dirty

In the book, he called President Donald Trump unethical and “untethered to truth”. Comey believes that the leadership of the U.S. is “ego driven and about personal loyalty”.

PBS News Hour reports that Comey's representation of Trump in the book is hard-hitting. The president is made out to be:

A mafia boss-like figure who sought to blur the line between law enforcement and politics.

Comey also took some popular jabs at Trump, describing him as shorter than he expected and wearing a too-long tie. And, of course, he mentioned the size of the president's infamous hands.

The book titled, A Higher Loyalty, is set for release late April and is published by Flatiron Books.
