Kensington Palace confirmed the news via their official social media pages with the announcement stating the time of birth and weight. Proud dad, Prince William, was present at the time of birth.

The palace also announced that the Duchess of Cambridge, who gave birth at the private Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital, is doing great.

Good company

Prior to his birth, there were a ton of speculations by royal family enthusiast, primarily about a possible gender and name.

The polls were quite certain that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge would be welcoming a sister for Princess Charlotte. But, it turns out, Prince George gets a brother who coincidentally was born on Saint George's Day.

The day marks the death anniversary of the Roman army soldier who slayed a dragon and protested Rome's treatment of Christians.

The new royal is in good company, as he shares a birthday with his cousin, Lady Gabriella Windsor, the daughter of Prince and Princess Michael of Kent.

He also shares the day with a number of famous people, including William Shakespeare, Gigi Hadid, and John Cena.

His sister is not left out. She shares the most significant connection with people who believe in star signs. Both Charlotte, born May 2, and her baby brother are Taurus children.

This means the chances that they would be artistic, loyal, and cheerful are pretty high.

Public debut

The new baby made his debut on the steps of the Lindo Wing later on Monday according to tradition.

This was Kate Middleton's first public appearance since Easter Sunday church service on April 1.

It is expected that the new mom will join the family on May 19, when Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be married at the St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.

Congratulations to the new parents.
