'Dancing Queen': Kate Middleton Is Twirling With Paddington Bear During A Charity Event

Date October 17, 2017

What could be more British than the Duchess of Cambridge dancing with the famous Paddington Bear at London’s namesake station?

It happened on Monday, when Kate Middleton, Prince William, and Prince Harry made a surprise appearance at Paddington Station to support some of their charities. The event was attended by 130 children linked to royal charities, such as East Anglia's Children's Hospices, Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, and Place2Be.

They joined the children on board of the Belmond British Pullman train at Paddington Station, inviting some young survivors of the Grenfell Tower fire to take a ride in 1920s-30s vintage carriages and enjoy a day out in the countryside. Kate, William, and Harry even attended a special party for kids, involved in their charities.

The Duchess wasn’t expected to attend this event as she has stayed away from publicity since the announcement of her third pregnancy on September 4th. It was officially reported that she struggles with acute morning sickness, also known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum.

Despite this condition, the princess looked happy and healthy as she was twirling with the giant cuddly character on the train platform, displaying a fresh hairstyle and a hint of a baby bump. She was wearing an Orla Kiely dress. It happens to be the second appearance in a week as she returns to work gradually. The Duke told members of the public,

She's feeling much better.

The royals spent 45 minutes talking with children on board before sending them off on an adventure. All of these young kids, who have been going through a rough patch in their lives, have been selected by members of the Duke and Prince's Charities Forum.

The royals also met Hugh Bonneville and other actors from the cast of "Paddington 2", an upcoming British-French sequel to the 2014 film "Paddington", which is set for release in November 2017. The actor, who plays Henry Brown, was fascinated by the royals for their support of the children’s charities, and said,

Wherever they go awareness is brought to the causes they do wonderfully support. It’s just fantastic when they can bring a bit of a spotlight to shine on these fantastic causes. Paddington is equally happy to smear them in marmalade!

He also added that it had been wonderful to see all those kids so excited. And there is nothing more important than the health and happiness of children!

Kudos to Kate, William, and Harry for supporting this good cause!
