Woman And 3-Month-Old Baby Were Killed In A Horrible Car Accident In Texas

It was reported by ABC 13 that a mother and her 3-month-old baby were killed in a horrible car accident today early in the morning. It happened in Clear Lake, Texas, on the Gulf Freeway feeder road around 4 a.m.

According to the information provided by the officials, a white Lincoln SUV hit the dark purple Toyota with a woman and baby inside. The victims are 36-year-old Shayla Joseph and her 3-month-old baby Braylan Jabari Joseph.

Woman’s husband said his wife was on the road so early because she was about to pick up breakfast for him since he works nights.

Christine Moyer was the first one who witnessed the tragedy and rushed to help the victims. Shayla was unconscious when Christine opened the door, and it was barely possible to find the pulse. Together with the baby, who was sitting in a car seat, they died at the scene.

The driver of the Lincoln SUV, a 20-year-old Veronika Rivas, was booked on two counts of intoxication manslaughter, the bond is $30,000. She was taken to the hospital together with the other passenger.

It was reported that Veronika was driving while being drunk, and she couldn’t even realize she hit another car and killed two people.

The devastated father just can’t realize that his loving wife and baby are gone and can’t imagine his life without them. He says there are still gifts from the baby shower at home. Now, his life will never be the same.
