Jim Carrey And His Famous Beard: The Actor Finally Shaved It

Date December 1, 2017

Jim Carrey is a living legend. The Golden Globe-winning actor has starred in dozens of successful films. It is striking that Jim Carrey and many other talented actors have never received an Oscar:

However, people adore his characters and quote their lines. But the life of this man, who seems to live with a wide smile on his face, was not as fun and entertaining as most of his movies.

While most of his characters were quite charming and successful in love, in the real-life, the situation was the complete opposite. Jim Carrey went through several relationships, and every time, the only thing waiting for him at the end was yet another heartbreak.

His relationships with his first wife, Melissa Womer, were, perhaps, the most long-lasting in his life. The couple tied the knot on 1987 and got divorced eight years later. The second marriage with the actress Lauren Holly did not last even a year.

Then, there was a series of short-term and unhappy relationships with actresses and models. His last girlfriend, Cathriona White, died in 2015 from a prescription drug overdose. White's family lately filed two separate lawsuits against Carrey, insisting that he was responsible for the girl's death.

Despite all these heartbreaks and personal dramas, Jim Carrey keeps working hard on the new projects. And even though he stepped away from the spotlight in the last few years, he still knows how to make an impression and surprise the public.

On one of the recent episodes of Jimmy Kimmel Live show, Jim Carrey appeared sporting a very impressive beard.

While the actor did not explain why he suddenly decided to stop shaving his face, he confessed that his beard seems to be even more popular than he is.

Wherever I show up, it becomes this story. It's a bigger star than me. It has its own Twitter.

However, when Jim Carrey attended the Venice Film Festival this September, his famous beard was nowhere to be found. It seems the 55-year-old actor did not like his new style, after all. Plus, the lack of facial hair made the Mask star look at least ten years younger.

Currently, the famous Hollywood star works as a producer and writer of the TV series I'm Dying Up Here. The show already has two seasons and stars many popular young actors, including Melissa Leo, Michael Angarano, Ari Graynor, and Clark Duke.
