On November 27th, 2017, the world was surprised with a thrilling news – Prince Henry confirmed that he is engaged to his girlfriend, famous actress Meghan Markle.

Clarence House released an official announcement on Monday, followed by a photocall of the soon-to-be-married couple.

Among other things, the palace's message specifies that the royal groom “received the blessing” from both of his bride's parents.

While Meghan Markle's parents got divorced when the girl was only six years old, the Suits star is reportedly close with both of them. Her mom, Doria Ragland, is a physiotherapist and yoga instructor. She is believed to have a great relationship with her daughter's future husband too.

Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, was a lighting director of several popular projects, including General Hospital – a series that brought his team two Emmy awards. Meghan is the only child the man had with his second wife Doria.

Following the main news, Meghan Markle's parents issued a statement that was later released by Kensington Palace. They say they are “incredibly happy” and “excited” for the lovebirds.

Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person. To see her union with Harry, who shares the same qualities, is a source of great joy for us as parents. We wish them a lifetime of happiness and are very excited for their future together.

It is said that the future spouses will live in Nottingham Cottage. Meghan Markle has already moved to London. The wedding ceremony is planned for spring 2018.
