For the cast of This Is Us series, the Sunday night on January 21, 2018 was a very lucky and joyful time. Not only they were honored with a Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Award as a team but also one of their cast members, Sterling K. Brown, received an award of his own.

This Is Us received the SAG Award for TV Drama Ensemble, reports POPSUGAR.

When the entire lead cast got onto the stage, Milo Ventimiglia (Jack Pearson) spoke on behalf of his colleagues, thanking everyone who took even the smallest part in creating the show.

To the people that watch with us every Tuesday night and embrace this show that reflects positivity and hope and inclusion, we love you and thank you very much!

Sterling K. Brown, who plays Randall Pearson in the series, made history by becoming the very first African-American actor to win the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance in a Drama Series.

When accepting his SAG Awards trophy, the actor delivered a very emotional and powerful speech that did not leave anyone unaffected.

What a blessing it is to do what you love for a living. What an honor it is to be recognized by your peers for a job well done.

Thank you @sagawards!! #SAGAwards #ThisIsUs

He also thanked his beloved wife, Ryan Michelle Bathé, and his “white family,” the cast of the show, for their support.

And, in the end, the actor sent an important message to “all those people out there still hustling, trying to make it:”

The fame won’t sustain you, the money won’t sustain you — the love? Keep that love alive, it will keep you going!

His words are truly heartwarming and inspiring, aren't they?

While it was surely a great milestone for the 41-year-old actor, it was not the only one impressive height he has reached recently. Just a few weeks before the SAG Awards ceremony, Sterling also made history by becoming the first black man to win the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV Drama. Congratulations to the talented performer!
