Ivanka Trump Keeps Saying 'Happy Holidays' Instead Of 'Merry Christmas' Despite Her Dad's Promises

Date December 14, 2017

One of the things people love about President Trump is his promise to bring back the festive greeting “Merry Christmas” to our lives. However, it looks like his beloved daughter Ivanka has a different point of view.

In a recent post on Twitter, the 36-year-old entrepreneur wrote the phrase that her father does not like so much (to say the least): “Happy Holidays.”

People did not miss Ivanka's choice of words. Some social media users even joked that Ivanka started the “war on Christmas” and threw the first stone.

The others, however, did not pay much attention to the words and simply greeted the woman back.

Donald Trump often pointed out on the importance of using the word “Christmas.” One of the most memorable moments was his speech at the Values Voter Summit in October 2017:

They don't use the word 'Christmas' because it's not politically correct.

And then he added:

Well, guess what? We're saying 'Merry Christmas' again.

However, Ivanka, who is Jewish, does not seem to follow her father's example and keeps using other forms of holiday greetings in her daily life. On the other hand, she might just write it by force of habit, without giving a second thought to her choice of words.
