Melania Trump In Gorgeous White Dress Gives A Group Of Children A Tour Around The Newly Decorated White House

Date November 29, 2017

The First Family of the United States is trying their best to tune in the festive spirit. On November 27th, Melania Trump invited children for a tour of a fully-decorated residence, revealing her idea of Trumps’ first year Christmas. She chose the theme of “Time-Honoured Traditions.”

Sarah Huckabee Sanders, White House Press Secretary, duly noted that the First Lady "personally selected and was involved in every detail" of the decorations revealed yesterday.

Melania appeared at the grand opening by descending the staircase, while the three ballerinas were dancing to ‘The Nutcracker Suite’. This year, she introduced a few new personal touches to the White House décor, which include wreaths with red bows over each window. The tree was decorated with the Trump family official ornament, with golden toys and presidential coat of arms in the wreath of holly. The hallway, leading to the tree, was full of sparkling Christmas trees.

When Melania entered the East Room to help a group of kids to make decorations, one of the boys asked:

Are you the first lady?

And another, apparently stunned by her beauty, remarked:

She’s beautiful, like an angel!

Altogether, it took 53 Christmas trees, 17 wreaths, over 18,000 lights, more than 1,000 feet of garlands, and more than 12,000 ornaments to decorate the official mansion of the President. One of the most outstanding elements was the 352 lbs gingerbread house, made in a shape of the White House, of course. In the upcoming month, the President’s official residence is expecting to receive a total of 25,000 visitors.
