Britain is not the only country preparing for the royal wedding this year. Louis Ducruet, the oldest son of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco, is officially engaged to his girlfriend, Marie Chevallier.

Engagement news

Prince Harry is not the only royal who broke the rules and got engaged to a woman who is not from an established royal family. Grace Kelly's grandson, Louis Ducruet, is now officially engaged to his college girlfriend, Marie Chevallier.

Louis is the son of Princess Stéphanie of Monaco and her ex-husband Daniel Ducruet. He is 25. The young man met his future fiancée four years ago while they both were students at the Western Carolina University.

Marie has a degree in Marketing and currently works as the events coordinator at the Hotel Hermitage in Monaco.

The palace representatives announced the happy news on Wednesday:

HSH Princess Stephanie of Monaco has the pleasure to announce the engagement of her son Louis Ducruet with Ms. Marie Chevallier.

Ducruet proposed to his girlfriend in the most romantic way. He got on one knee on the background of a beautiful beach and presented his lovebird with a wedding ring. Fortunately, this heartwarming moment was captured on camera. Just take a look how happy the couple is together.

A wedding date has yet to be announced. In fact, Louis will be the first of Princess Stephanie’s children who announced his engagement.

It seems like 2018 will be marked as the year of royal weddings. We can’t wait to see the royal couples exchanging their vows.

Our best wishes to Louis Ducruet and his beautiful fiancée Marie. We wish them lots of love!
