Erin Jackson is a perfect candidate for the 2018 Winter Olympics

Erin Jackson is 25-year-old American ice-skater. Recently, the young talent mesmerized the audience and judges with her incredible performance on the ice during the Olympic Long-Track Speedskating Trials.

Erin finished her first run at 39.22 seconds and won the third place in the competition for the 500-meter race. The first and the second prize went to the former Olympians, Brittany Bowe and Heather Bergsma.

In her interview after the trials, Jackson said:

I really wasn’t expecting any of this, just coming in as a newbie, just trying to do the best I can.

Watching Erin’s spectacular moves on the ice, it’s hard to believe the young lady started skating just four months before the competition. Her incredible talent helped her gain a status of the first black woman to qualify for the long-track trials.

Now, Erin gets ready to take part in the 2018 Winter Olympics. The new star confessed she has another significant goal to reach. She shared an Instagram post and announced a T-shirt fundraiser. It has a noble mission to earn money and pay for a ticket for her father to watch her participate in the Olympic Games.

I’m starting a T-shirt fundraiser to help get my dad to South Korea to watch me race in the Olympic Games.
