Billy Graham's legacy

Famed Christian evangelist, Billy Graham, has been a spiritual adviser and counselor to American presidents since the presidency of Harry Truman. He advised racial integrity and praised equality. Back in the days, he did preaching tours calling people to Christ, which were named “crusades”. Billy Graham’s death wasn’t a sudden tragedy as he has been suffering from several health issues, such as Parkinson’s disease since 1992, vision and hearing loss, and some others. He turned his international ministry over to his son, Franklin Graham.

Presidents' tributes

Nevertheless, the tragedy shocked everyone, including former president George W. Bush. He was once asked how it would be if there was no Billy Graham. George responded simply, “I wouldn’t be president.” He paid a touching tribute to the great man via social media:

A great man, a humble servant, and a shepherd to millions has passed on. Billy Graham was a consequential leader. He had a powerful, captivating presence and a keen mind. He was full of kindness and grace...

Barack Obama and Donald Trump also shared their feelings and sent their condolences:

Trump wrote: "The GREAT Billy Graham is dead. There was nobody like him! He will be missed by Christians and all religions. A very special man."

Billy Graham lives forever

Billy’s faith in God gave him strength to fight for all the people in this world! It also gave him immortality as Billy lives forever in our hearts.

Someday, you will read or hear that Billy Graham is dead. Don't you believe a word of it. I shall be more alive than I am now. I will just have changed my address. I will have gone into the presence of God. – Graham said

Was he an America’s pastor? Was he a world’s preacher? Was he a presidents’ spiritual counselor? The answer is yes to all of it. But most importantly, he was a God's man.
