Jimmy married Molly McNearney, a head-writer for his show ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’, in 2013. The couple welcomed their first child, Jane, on the 10th of July 2014. William (Billy), their baby boy, was born on April 21st, 2017.  Kimmel said those two dates were the happiest in his life.

Even on his show, Kimmel has mentioned multiple times how grateful he is for his family and has since been a fierce advocate for child care.

Jimmy Kimmel tearfully reveals son's health crisis

In May of 2017, Jimmy has revealed on his show that his son was born with a rare heart defect. A nurse at the Los Angeles Children Hospital spotted there was something wrong, and Billy had to have a surgery when he was only three days old.

In an emotional confession, Jimmy explained what has been happening with his son. Trying to hold back tears, Kimmel told all about the day Billy was born. Jimmy thanked everyone for their love and support and emphasized the importance of health care.

Billy has undergone a second operation

Due to his heart condition, Billy needed a second surgery. The latter was successful, and Billy is safely recovering from the procedure.

The famous TV host has decided to take a couple of days off to be with his family. The show must go on, so 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' will be hosted by guest hosts. Actor Chris Pratt had the honor yesterday, while tonight, it will be the charming actress Tracee Ellis Ross.

We wish little Billy all the best in his recovery, and we send our thoughts and love to Jimmy Kimmel and his family.
