In her recent talk with ET, Metz recalled her sad experience with the audition for American Idol in 2007. The star explained that the show producers wanted her to share more except her vocal skills. When Metz came to the contest, she wanted to be respected for her singing talent but not for another hidden reason.

You know, I get it, they're trying to make stories and they're trying to invest the audience into these characters and I understand the whole scope of everything, especially since I was a talent agent. So, I understand what they're doing. And I was like, 'Oh, I don't want to be that girl.’

For her performance, Metz chose the song "Heavy" from Dreamgirls but the result was not exactly as she'd expected.

Despite her failed experience with American Idol, Chrissy said she has no regrets.
