Pippa Middleton’s Father-In-Law David Matthews Was Arrested On Charges Of Raping A 15-Year-Old Girl

Amid all the pleasant pre-wedding preparations and Easter holiday, the British royal family received some bad news considering one of their relatives. Pippa Middleton’s father-in-law, David Matthews, was arrested on charges of raping a 15-year-old girl.

Allegations against David Matthews

On Friday, Pippa Middleton’s father-in-law, David Matthews, was arrested at the Orly Airport in Paris. French police charged the 74-year-old millionaire with the rape of a 15-year-old- girl in 1990s.

The victim, whose name was not revealed to the public, went to Paris to give evidence against Matthews. She claimed that the millionaire raped her in his hotel in St. Barts on the Caribbean Island in 1998.

David, who is the father of Pippa’s husband, James Matthews, was taken into custody and questioned by the French officers. At the moment, David is freed but remains under judicial control during the investigation.

According to the police report, the woman claims David Matthews acted inappropriately to her when she was a teen. She said in her statement:

Afterwards, I felt like I was to blame. I developed feelings of self-loathing and felt worthless.


The victim reportedly doesn’t plan to sue Matthews for money.

In his turn, the millionaire denies any allegation against him. Matthews’ representative announced:

David Matthews categorically denies the allegation and unequivocally contests the untrue and scandalous accusation.

The members of the Middleton family and David’s son James, in particular, didn’t comment on the allegation yet.

Pippa Middleton
