The making of a First Lady

It comes as no surprise that she quit university to become a model. Long before she married Donald Trump, she was a model. Her wardrobe has undergone noticeable transformations through the years.

She had moved from being a model to wife of a New York businessman to First Lady of the United States.

She makes her statements in well-cut suits and gowns as well as the understated jeans and converse when the need arises.

Visiting Whitehall

When Melania met with Akie Abe, wife of Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Florida on Wednesday, she opted for an elegant green dress for their museum visit.

She paired the gown with python Louboutin heels. Akie wore a dark flower print gown. Both women looked spring ready.

The Trumps are currently at Mar-a-Lago, their Palm Beach Estate. Melania is expected to join the Bush family in Houston for Barbara Bush's funeral over the weekend.

She and Akie Abe were visiting the Flagler Museum, which houses the historic Whitehall built in 1902.

The gold-plated mansion was a gift by oil and railroad tycoon Henry Flagler to his third wife, Mary Lily Kenan Flagler.

Is Melania due for a magazine cover?

Melania, who is Trump's third wife, may be a fashion icon, but she has not enjoyed the same reception Michelle Obama got from a certain section of the media.

Unlike Michelle, she has barely graced the cover pages of iconic magazines. It is hoped that she will get the privilege her predecessor enjoyed before Donald Trump's presidency runs its course.
