Chrissy Teigen Announces She Is Expecting Second Child

"Baby!" the girl replied, obviously excited that she would be getting a little brother or sister soon. Teigen captioned the short and sweet pregnancy announcement with the words, "It's John's!"

Fertility struggles

The Legends have been very open about their struggles with infertility. On October 13th, 2015, while announcing her very first pregnancy, Teigen expressed how difficult of a journey it was to conceive. In the caption of the Instagram post, she wrote:

As many of you know, we’ve been trying to have a baby for a while now. It hasn’t been easy, but we kept trying because we can’t wait to bring our first child into the world and grow our family.

During an interview with Cosmopolitan, John Legend also opened up about how hard the situation was on their marriage. Fortunately, ability to overcome that difficult time in their life actually ended up making them closer. He said:

Having a baby is a big challenge for a couple, and going through that together strengthens your bond because if you make it through [having a child], you know you can make it through anything.

He added that he felt very lucky that we now live in an age where there are alternatives for couples who are having trouble conceiving. "[IVF] brought us Luna and hopefully, it will bring us a few more awesome kids too."

Embracing her baby bump

After making the Instagram announcement, Teigen promptly took to Snapchat to express her relief that everyone now knows she's expecting. "Very excited to not have to hide this anymore," she said as she posted a mirror selfie.

A few hours later, she returned to Instagram where she shared a video debut of her new bang hairdo. Clearly, pregnancy suits the model as she positively glowed in the clip.
