Beth Chapman Is All About 'Embracing The Unembraceable' As She Talks On Body Changes After Struggling With Throat Cancer

For reality TV personality Beth Chapman, the holidays were a time to be thankful for good health.

She and her husband Duane 'Dog' Chapman, a star of the reality show Dog The Bounty Hunter, recently went through quite the ordeal as she battled a huge health challenge,

Cancer diagnosis

Earlier, Beth was diagnosed with throat cancer. In a two-hour special documentary, Dog and Beth: Fight of Their Lives, the couple shared their experiences with the world.

In November, Beth underwent surgery, and the family was very thrilled to find, later, that she was cancer-free.

Speaking to Fox News about how they were able to survive the difficult times, Beth said:

Through this cancer episode, we had to drum up as much faith as we could.

'Embracing the unembraceable'

In a recent Instagram post, Beth Chapman, once again, expressed her gratitude for health while also talking about the body changes she experienced due to cancer.

On January 2nd, Beth narrated how she never had to deal with wrinkles on her neck before her diagnosis and treatment.

It has been very hard to look at this in the mirror.

However, even though these were a reminder of a time she would "love to forget", she fully embraced the lessons they had thought her. Now, instead of feeling shy and insecure about what she described as her 'battle scar,' she is ready to fully embrace it.

Her husband's unwavering support

Duane Chapman was right there with her through her health battle. Beth constantly celebrated their love for each other via several Instagram posts.

Duane Chapman never once considered leaving his woman's side. He told Fox:

My job was to stand behind her and beside her. And I tried to do my job extremely well over the years and I’m trying to do my job even better today.

The family clearly did not take their blessing for granted this holiday season, and their story of survival and love is one that we can all learn from. Beth's determination to only see the good despite the scars can serve as a reminder for us all to look past our imperfection and simply be grateful to be alive.
