Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Will Tie The Knot In May 2018 At St. George's Chapel

News

Wedding bells for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are going to chime in spring 2018 as it was earlier announced by the Prince of Wales on Twitter.

On November 27th, 2017, the happy couple attended Kensington Palace’s Sunken Garden for a photo shoot dedicated to the engagement.

The wedding venue

Another important news appeared on Kensington Palace’s Twitter yesterday, November 28th, 2017, announcing that the royal wedding will take place at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle in May 2018.

St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, where Prince Harry himself was christened, has become a “very special place” for the newly-engaged couple. St. George’s Chapel is famous for holding the wedding ceremony of Harry’s father, Prince Charles, and the Duchess of Cornwall in 2005.

It is a resting place for many of the late monarchs and members of royal family. As Prince Harry was christened in this Chapel, it has a personal meaning to him.

Stunning chapel!

And the rules of the Church of England clearly state that he can get married there. There were speculations that Prince Harry would prefer to get married in St. Paul's Cathedral, where his father married Princess Diana in 1981, but they didn't prove true.

It has been reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle themselves are going to plan their wedding, trying to make it a ceremony that “reflects the characters of the bride and groom”.

The happy couple will be in charge of all the planning, starting from seating plans to flowers.

The wedding itself, including the church service, flowers, music, decorations, and reception, will be paid for by the royal family. The cost of this, no doubt, beautiful ceremony is what we are yet to find out, but in the meantime, please, watch the video, showing some of the most luxurious and expensive celebrity weddings.

Here are some of the most popular Twitter responses to the announcement.

Before the royal wedding ceremony, there is still a lot to decide and do. The public is still waiting for Kensington Palace to set the exact date, announce the guest list, as well as the best man and the bridesmaids.

And the most important question which sets most British women’s hearts racing: who is going to design Meghan’s dress?

While we are waiting for all the questions to be answered, let’s simply be happy for Harry and Meghan who have so many pleasant chores on their to-do list.
