'It Brought Tears To My Eyes!' Serena Williams On Seeing Herself And Her Daughter On The Cover Of Vogue
Since becoming a mother, Serena Williams has been pretty open about her parenting experiences and her love for her daughter, Olympia.
The four-month-old has become the centre of the tennis star's universe, and this has been shown time and time again by the way Serena loves to celebrate her on social media.
Teething- aka the devil - is so hard. Poor Alexis Olympia has been so uncomfortable. She cried so much (she never cries) I had to hold her until she fell asleep. I've tried amber beads... cold towels.... chew on mommies fingers.... homeopathic water (lol on that one) but nothing is working. It's breaking my heart. I almost need my mom to come and hold me to sleep cause I'm so stressed. Help? Anyone??
For instance, during the holiday, the sportswoman shared a sweet post about how Olympia was teething and how uncomfortable the little girl was. After sharing her attempts at soothing her baby, she asked followers if they had any advice that can help.
Well, it seems the little queen is doing much better now as she was recently featured on the cover of Vogue magazine along with her beautiful mother.
On Wednesday, Serena shared an Instagram post where she talked about how emotional she felt after seeing herself and her little girl on the magazine cover.
In her interview with the publication, Serena opened up about the struggles most new mothers can relate to in those first weeks.
Sometimes I get really down and feel like, 'Man, I can’t do this'. No one talks about the low moments — the pressure you feel, the incredible letdown every time you hear the baby cry.
She also talked about being broken down and the motherhood emotional roller coaster she experienced back to back. She would go from feeling sad and angry to feeling guilty about those emotions.
Fans on Twitter had nothing but positive things to say after Serena posted a shot of the Vogue cover. Check out some of their tweets below.

Bless. Keep that forever, and make sure you get lots of photos of you with your daughter while she's little, or big. I am 'the photographer' in our family. Result: 100s of photos of our daughter with her father, but only about 5 with me. Time I can't get back.
