Probably, many of us heard some successful stories about people who managed to sell their old stuff for a whopping amount of money. In these cases, we start thinking that they are just lucky, and it can’t happen with us. In reality, everything is possible, and each of us can be the owner of something valuable.

According to the experts, there is a certain list of what can be sold for a big amount of money. Among them you can find:

6. Porcelain.

So, it is also important to be able to asses and find out whether something is really high-priced. But, it is not the rule as sometimes, it can happen by accident.

Lauren is a man who was lucky to be one of those people. Just recently, he was a poor man, who tried to survive somehow on $830 per month. He got into a horrible car accident and lost the lower part of his leg. He was sure that there is nothing he can hope for in the future. However, one day completely changed his life.

Lauren was watching 'Antiques’ Roadshow', where a professional examiner tried to assess a blanket, which he thought came from the Navajo people. In that TV episode, they valued the blanket between $350,000 and $500,000.

Lauren noticed that it looks exactly like his old blanket and immediately contacted a professional appraising service. Soon enough, John Moran Antique & Fine Arts Auctioneers invited him to show the blanket. It turned out that there were only 50 others in the world.

When the time for the auction came, Lauren managed to receive $1.5 million for it. What a great story!
