Priscilla met the musician when she was just 14 years old, and he was 25. Their first meeting happened in 1959 at a party in Germany, four years later, the teenage girl moved in with a music star.

Priscilla explains:

I wasn’t a typical teenager. I mean, I was really very mature for my age, and honestly, when we first met I think Elvis just felt comfortable talking to me.

At that time, Elvis was already famous with a lot of hits under his belt, including Heartbreak Hotel and Blue Suede Shoes.

Nowadays, a 14-year-old girl dating a man over ten years older than her would not only be frowned upon but could end a career. But back then, it didn’t seem like a big issue.

The 72-year-old remembers:

Elvis Presley was very, very respectful to me in every single way. Our marriage was very important to him, and he was a very moral human being. He was very religious. My parents certainly would have never let me go if he hadn’t promised nothing would ever happen. We did pet and we held hands and we kissed, which was fun . . . but he was true to his word.
