Jimmy Kimmel shared personal stories about the complication of his youngest son on his show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!
One person who seems to have been really touched by Jimmy’s story is Anna Faris, and she duly expressed gratitude to him.
Jimmy Kimmel announces his son’s health complications
Jimmy Kimmel first shared about his son’s health complications on one of his shows, Jimmy Kimmel Live! His wife, Molly McNearney, had just given birth to a baby boy, but 3 hours after that, nurses discovered some complications.
After doctors’ examinations, it was discovered that a boy was born with a heart disease that required an immediate surgery.
Anna Faris expresses gratitude to Jimmy
Jimmy’s story really touched the actress so much, she couldn’t help but open up about her son’s (Jack) health complications on her podcast, ‘Unqualified’. She revealed:
Jack had a few surgeries—he had a few hernia surgeries, he's had a few eye surgeries and he had a little heart issue as well. When Jack was born two months early, it came as a huge shock and suddenly, your world completely shifts. The doctors and nurses that helped us and surrounded us were so unbelievably supportive that it inspired Chris and I and my parents to all get involved in this.
Anna went on to meet with Jimmy and Molly to thank them for sharing their personal story. She expressed that what they have done by talking about their challenges is incredibly moving!
On his part, Jimmy did not make a big deal of his openness of his personal life and he claimed he simply had “no choice” but to speak up.
Other celebrities who are open about their kids' health
It turns out that Jimmy Kimmel and Anna Faris aren't the only ones speaking up about their children's health challenges.
Many special needs families wrote with advice after Henry’s story on @TODAYshow. They say to stay strong, to communicate with your partner, to enjoy your child everyday. I realized, isn't this what we should ALL be doing, always? https://t.co/fw8yJAhBI9 https://t.co/Zw0MM0IdPQ pic.twitter.com/AQwFclrcDZ

Colin Farrell, the star of the movie Alexander, also speaks about his son who suffers from an uncommon genetic disorder, Angelman syndrome.
While it has been challenging raising the child, the actor admitted that having a child with special needs has thought him to enjoy every moment and to be grateful for that.
We thank the stars for being open about their personal life and encouraging others to move on. We wish them and their families all the best in life.
